This is a good deal. Sell that battery and charger and you have the newest generation M12 FUEL impact driver for $50. Yes. $50 for this whole kit would be even better, that goes without saying. The $99 price is already a "special" price and this kit is usually relegated to holiday sales only. They must have a ton left that didn't sell which is why it is even still available at $99

I was seeing none in my area yesterday, but it's now showing up in multiple stores. Maybe HD were in the process of updating their clearance inventory.

$99 is 41% more than $70. To put it another way, the in-store price is 30% less than the online sale price. 30% off seems like a lot to me.
That's absolute best case scenario - assuming you're walking to the store, or stumble upon one when you're already there.
Currently, there's only a single store in TX showing it in-stock, in Mount Pleasant, TX.
252 miles round-trip would use $48.12 in gasoline. Assuming I'm independently wealthy and my time is worth nothing, then the math become $70 + 48.12 = $118.12 to roll the dice and try to pick this deal up.
Or 41% more expensive to track down this deal.
The original $29 difference in price is a tiny price to pay, to have it shipped to my home, sparing me time spent driving, gas and auto wear-and tear.

Well, then by your own math it wouldn't even be worth it if the kit was $50, would it? So, why would you "...get excited..." for $50 as you said in your earlier post? Some people have stores with stock in their vicinity. Those are the people who will benefit from this post. No one cares about you stating the OBVIOUS fact that this is not a deal worth 250 miles worth of driving. Even at $50 or $25 it's not worth that on a gamble

I'm into DeWalt with a lot of my stuff, wouldn't mind picking up my first red tool though. Since there are 850 of these avail, is it possible they get discounted anymore than the $99 shown on site?
