This is just OKAY as a surge protector....

Joules aren't the most important metric, clamping voltage is. Anything over 400 clamping voltage is not adequate.

This one offers a 400v for line to neutral faults, but for line-ground faults its 500 volts.

Letting 500 volts run through your sensitive equipment after a lightning strike is in the danger zone. Yes itll stop thousands of volts rushing through but 500 is damaging depending on what you have hooked up.

Needless to say, 500 volts isnt as bad as the others on the market but if you look at products from tripp-lite their surge protectors are well under the 400v metric.

Just keep that in mind.

I have probably 6 to 8 of these. Only one failed and Belkin sent a replacement within a few weeks.
At this price you can get backups in case one fails in a critical application.

Camel Camel Camel shows price was $27.99 until about Dec. and then started to bounce around in the $25 range. This price of $21 is the lowest price ever for it.

I bought a Belkin surge protector with a faulty switch. Belkin's support is terrible. I can't imagine filing a claim for damage to appliances

Many of the reviews for the item says they have the same issue with the switch too.
