Don't be that dirt bag that uses a tool for two weeks then returns it because he found a shinier toy. Grampas weeder is a solid tool and sounds like there's nothing wrong with yours, if you had not used sure return it. Otherwise stop whining over the $15 and enjoy what you have.

Looks like this is going on clearance. I found it on Grainger. $27.12 if you have one of their stores nearby and free pick up otherwise shipping is like $12. I'm in Sacramento and was able to order it and get free pick up for a total of $29.36. https://www.grainger.com/product/...ess-49AJ37

This thing is too short and awkward for tall folks. I'm 6ft and feel like I have to bend over to hit an angle that I can both see the weed and use the tool, IMO may as well get kneepads and kick it old school.

Sure and i've done similar, when it's the same product in unused condition or in SD fashion box never even opened. But not to return a used tool just because i can, because a cheaper alternative showed up on SD and to save $15. This is no different from people who buy at Costco and after years of use and abuse return the item because of Costcos generous return policy. Had the person said his had damage, was not working properly that's one thing, but to return it after weeks of use is different, and should not be encouraged.

I bought one of these years ago and can attest they work great!
I've also broken ~4 since purchasing it and Fiskars warranty replaced every broken one with a new one!

Have had this thing for years and it totally works but be warned: this thing is a shoulder workout! shoving it in the ground and removing it to get the millions of weeds you have will make your shoulder sore(YMMV).
