Maintenance should be close to zero. Much lower then a derailleur anyway.
Ditto for the gates drive belt.

edit; maintenance isn't a big deal the 11 is oil filled so is more maintenance than the 8. the real problem is the cable and if it's not a good one, sticky, cold, shifting suffers. always micro adjusting mine as it stretches.
