These Keter deck boxes are so much nicer then the Suncrest and other brands that look like cheap shiny plastic. I had one of the big 230 gal ones which could easily hold 500+ on top but since it was so big it wasn't really comfortable to sit on. Ended up giving it to my MIL and bought the bench version which is going on 3 years now and is still just big enough for our cushions.

Highly recommend the bench which is smaller at 60 gal but also is comfortable and holds 600lbs: https://www.samsclub.com/p/keter-...P990322916

I have 2 and they are great. EASILY hold a 150 lb man sitting on them and have held up to the Texas sun like it is nothing. Much better than my disintegrating Suncast.

The problem with this is the mice get in. I don't care about bugs. But mice loooved this box last winter and destroyed the cushions inside and lived a great life in the winter. If anyone has any tips to avoid that I'm all ears otherwise this is useless for cushion storage.

I used silicone sealant at every join/corner etc. It certainly keeps all the bugs and geckos out. Not sure if mice would chew through the silicone though.

Not a bad idea. Shame it's necessary but it obviously is. I wondered if mine were getting in via the lid gap at the top though. Did you seal on interior or exterior side?

I sealed the interior literally everywhere I could see the slightest amount of daylight. As for the lid, I used foam sealant tape on the underside of the lid. Yes I'm sure it was overkill, but I HATE bugs and geckos nod

I may have to do all this to mine and try again next winter. Mine sat empty this winter after losing good cushions to mice nests last year. You'd wish the deck box was this tight out of the box after assembly. But it is absolutely not critter proof.

Have 2 of these - may pick up another. All the same comments as the others mentioned - sides of the top seem to be almost curling up but no water. Slams shut nicely. Sturdy. Recommended.

I'm seeing stock at Alpharetta and Duluth for about $80. You can try setting your main club to one of those.
Thank you. It slipped my mind to change my club.

Does anyone know if this will hold up to 150 gallons of water pressure? I was thinking of buying this to use as an above ground pond.
