That's only a $50 difference, if you want this computer it would be pretty crazy to wait for a deal that may not ever come instead of just pulling the trigger now. It's already quite a good deal.

This deal is exactly the same as the previous deal. You can still get it for $999 through the VIP link [lenovo.com] from that deal.

Otherwise, you need the additional id.me discount to get around the same price:

Just an FYI. This was $999 a week ago so I'd wait for that price to come back.

Yes, I know time machines don't exist so you can't go back in time.

Wouldn't the RAM be LPDDR5x-6400 and not LPDDR4x? Speaking of which, I bought the P16s deal from last week w/64GB LPDDR5x-6400 and CPU-Z shows the latency as 18. That's crazy considering SODIMM's start at CL40!

You're correct. Edited the spec.

just got mine and while its amazing machine. I always find that thinkpad keyboards get worse with time. This keyboard compared to all my old thinkpads just not the greatest. I would take an extra 2mm in thickness for good old school thinkpad keyboard.

best deal right now is this laptop as best all rounder

cons is weight and 1080P.

Pros:4060, Ethernet, lots of usb ports and usb c

this laptop pros are basically just weight and ethernet, and if your going to go that route, just go with costco LG gram which is also on sale

https://www.costco.com/lg-gram-17...09393.html
The LG is a worse choice than this. Nearly the exact same weight, 1/4 the RAM, worse display, worse integrated graphics. The LG has more cores, but most of those are efficiency cores and the Lenovo will beat it in most benchmarks. That gaming laptop isn't a bad deal, but for the money this Lenovo blows the LG away. 17" with 1080p is terrible, and most people looking for a light laptop with these kind of specs may prefer 14" over the chonky 17" LG. I think Lenovo also has a 16" version of this for a similar price, but it is a tad heavier.

Not to mention build quality and the fact that these have the best keyboards for typing. Buttery goodness.

You use this exact same post in the deal you have at the top. It was confusing there and it's confusing here. "this laptop" is which of the three laptops you're referring to? Because, "this laptop" (this Lenovo) has lots of pros -- 2.8K screen, OLED screen, 64GB RAM, and that Ryzen 7840U benchmarks like an i9-13900H (Geekbench 6). The integrated GPU is about half a 3050, but many people, like me, don't game, so why have a battery draining GPU like a 4060 or better if we're not going to use it. I think for my purposes a 780M chip gives just enough kick to graphics. Also, since you compare to a 16" HP as the perfect laptop, there is a 16" version of this P16s for very little more on a deal that has a 4K OLED screen with at least 6 hours battery. I bought the 64GB version of the 16" P16s and am very impressed.
