I own the 562xp, can confirm it's the same weight as my 460 Rancher but cuts better and longer, as even early dulled chain stage is equal to sharp 460 chain. A lot of these saws have the CPU controlled fuel/air mixture system to optimize auomatically without experimenting/fooling around/tuning equipment which is necessary for older models. Also it's ideal to add a second saw to your arsenal to do serious woodcutting bc of the chore of chain sharpening.

Resale is really good on these pro saws too! So good choices for the buy/use/sell rental method.

Arbsession.com also has these good prices. If you add fuel or oil depending on how much you buy together, will add an additional 2-3 year warranty on top of the 2 year standard. Good company to work with too.

I also have the 562xp. Had it for a few years now and cleared probably close to 2.5 acres with it. I put a 20" Tsumura ultralight bar on it and it rips. The Husky sound is the best too.

Bailey's is great.
And I second the move to bring 2 saws and sharpen later after the job is done.
Sharp chains are just as important as power. Maybe more important.
And I'll add my $0.02 that I always grab the smallest saw(s) that can get the job done.
I prefer small hot saws over big grunt saws. But that may just be my old and out-of-shape azz talking. ;-)

Most retailers who carry Husqvarna are having 20% off. Northern Tool will also allow you to stack 10% military as well. Just call in advance to verify. I picked up the 550XP Mk II for about $500 plus tax. Unfortunately NT doesn't carry the 562XP Mk II yet or I might of got that instead.

I believe fishing is the most dangerous job.
Stihl makes good saws. Husqvarna just as good (some will say better). It depends on which model you're talking about.

Too poor to buy a $500 chainsaw I will use twice a year.

I'm happy with the $60 Poulan I got mfr refurbished off ebay a few years ago and may get a Chinese model this year off Amzn, gas one for about $110.

More than fits my needs.

Just bring an extra couple of sharp chains, takes about 5 min. to pop those bar nuts off and replace chains. they are less than $20 for a new Stihl or Oregon chain.

Do NOT do this. No pro or serious woodcutter would even consider this!!

there's enough to proper chain bar tension adjustment, and your loose chain will form twists you will be moving the chain in circular movements for 30 mins trying to get it back on a single circular plane and untangled.

A serious pro brings multiple saws in case one stops or you get one bound up in a tree. If it takes you 30 minutes to change a chain, you need to find another profession.
