I would just wait for the pro if you are gonna upgrade. The slim isn't worth it
Sure, but if want the game and don't have it, it's essentially a free update.

I went to Gamestop and they would not honor the $385 trade in price (yes it was disc version).

good point - ty.
I just returned some clearance gamestop items there that they have to deal with a couple days ago so hopefully this will help them forgive me lol

my only annoyance is that I only have a spare black Dualsense :/ My white one I turned into this. worst of all is I don't even use it lol - I use the dualsense edge instead :/
That's cool. im guessing it's all replacement shell buttons and pad cover, right?

they should if you are a pro member
it all depends on the rep that you get and if they have to call their manager or not.

Yes - the touchpad was the worst part. If anyone does it, I recommend just leaving t hat part black along with the other buttons (the touchpad no longer works properly but thankfully it doesn't affect the controller in any other ways).

If you decide to do this side swap deal with your base ps5, don't forget to remove your 2nd nvme drive if you installed one!! I bet that happens sometimes.

I'm seeing the Slim PS5 Disc/Spider-Man 2 bundle at $450 everywhere, isn't $399 the YMMV clearance price at Staples?

Might be useful for folks who are tight on space. I'd consider it, but I don't have the time to pull my SSD and setup a new console. Especially since it seems you'd have to trade in the old console 1st and so it wouldn't be available for LAN game transfer.

- Less heat
- Bigger Storage (825gb vs 1TB)
- 2x USB C's on the front vs 1x A, 1x C on the Fat PS5
- Smaller form factor

Mainly you're getting a new game (digital), new controller (important due to stick drift) and refreshed 1 year warranty on a new console
Good info.

This needs to be in the wiki for quick reference regarding the differences between the 2 models.
