I did this trade in a few days ago. The slim PS5 is really loud compared to the original. You can Google this. I'm definitely disappointed in that regard.

This just seems like a complete waste of time and resources. My launch PS5 runs great.

I agree that it's not a bad deal if you consider it as a paid warranty extension. However the PS5 Pro is rumored to come out later this year so it might make more sense to wait for that IMHO.

In terms of making your money back via selling the code, people should be aware there are A LOT of digital copies of Spiderman 2 on the market so you won't be making anywhere near $65 unless you you find someone clueless.

Also... Not to throw shade but, a properly functioning PS5 (even the launch model) should never sound like an airplane taking off (even for intense games) unless it's been seriously neglected in terms of cleaning... (or you've just never experienced the PS4 or a gaming PC.)

I know the deal is dead for 385, but at the bottom of Gamestop's website it says *Get 20% Extra Trade Credit: Applies to trade credit only; excludes cash trades"

Anyone know if that extra 20% extra trade credit applies to trading in a PS5?
Were you able to find out?

Nah, I wasn't planning on trading in until later this summer but looks like that offer is gone now.
