Is this good for a room size 12 ft by 16 ft. Looking for these type of speakers in the Projector theater room.
Yes it would, how well is something no one can answer for you.
Those built in modules aren't very versatile, makes optimal setup a challenge.
The 502s aren't ideal for Atmos either imo.
These packages with the RP8000f's would be something to consider imo.
The 5.0 is very capable and if you did want the modules, the 500s would be a better option.
I get people always argue the newer(gen2) is better( they aren't actually in the same series).
Having heard both the difference is minor at best.
The 500s are much more versatile and if they don't work well as modules you can try them in a height placement, which is kinda better anyways.
Best of all it's a less expensive option.
Bought this set off the last sale mid Jan, these speakers sound fantastic and look really sharp. I'm playing through a Denon S970. Mostly used for listening to music via phono or Spotify so I can't comment on the atmos. I'm most taken with how clear the vocals and dialogue sound over the old Yamahas I bought a long time ago.
The speakers are well built and really heavy. The floorstanding speaker boxes in particular are large and awkward. Hopefully YMMV but both floorstanding speakers came damaged during shipping, and the replacement was such an ordeal. Took 1.5 months to go back and forth with Adorama & UPS but finally was resolved a few weeks ago.
I only need the tower speakers, if I thought I could sell the center & surround I would BUY in a second.. Please offer ebony towers again. Great deal otherwise
If you are using a projector, the glossy piano finish will reflect light. You are better off with the ebony wood/faux wood as it doesn't shine in the theater when you are using it with the lights off.

I have the same set, mine came without damage. I use them for home theater speakers for mostly gaming, and also 2 movies a week. They are great.
Does anyone know why when I click the deals for adorama on Slickdeals I see the sale price, but when I open my browser and find the item through their website as normal it shows full price? I'm wondering if there is other items on their site that I'm not seeing the sale price for. This is the case with many adorama deals posted on here.
