If you are a REI member, consider voting against the upcoming board member candidates, particularly the ex-Fanatics CEO.

Can you provide some additional context as to why you feel so strongly about voting against these candidates?

Maybe. But making it a pillar of your business strategy means you're choosing it at the expense of much better proven strategies.
Or, you could do both? Pursue DEI and high performance, rigor, ROI? Candidly, any DEI strategy that doesn't account for high performance is trash.

Nevermind that DEI is far more encompassing and disruptive than just having a diverse workforce. They package it as that so no one could ever be seen disagreeing with it. But it's in the same league as ESG for what it's really trying to do.

Interesting, could've sworn research indicates diverse teams outperform homogenous ones.
Yes and no. DEI, per se, doesn't improve performance. Instead, there are mediating factors such as the extent to which their backgrounds are relevant to a business.

--Edit--

FWIW, I personally believe that Chris Carr and Doug Mack are the top two. REI is a retail business. Doug Mack's executive experience most closely matches REI's business model. Chris Carr's diverse (not in the DEI sense) industry experience includes retail, particularly Starbucks, which in my view supplants Patricia Lopez's experience in building brands in the cosmetics and CPG industries. Marketing as a retailer is different from marketing as a supplier. With that said, Lopez has one unique skill that could enhance REI board's effectiveness, and that is building collaborative relationships with suppliers.

That depends... Are you backpacking, car camping or something else? Expecting to do any winter camping, or just warmer weather? How concerned are you about having enough space (size of occupants/width of sleeping pads/etc)? What is a good tent for one set of answers might make a terrible tent for another.

Don't think yeti ever has been excluded from these but you never know until they put the terms up

Check out gear lab for a decent rundown on tents. Don't actually buy a 2 person for 2 people though, way too small for most people to be comfortable

Can I buy a membership to get the $30 bonus card and purchase an outlet item today then return and rebuy to apply the $30 off on top of the 20% off?

There isn't a second item I'm interested in before the bonus would expire.
I just bought a Thule bike rack with a new membership offer. I am also looking for an answer to this.

So for the 30 bonus card... I have to spend 50 and buy a membership. Does that mean I need to spend 80 dollars, or can 30 of the 50 be the membership? It's kinda unclear on that. I've been wanting to join a while this would help me choose.
