Yes the laptop does have a somewhat loud fan paired with a slightl whine rather than just pure fan operation It ramps up for a minute or 2 and then completely disappears (sounds like it turns off), and rinses and repeats. I plan to fix some fan profiles with various suggestions I've come across the internet. With that said, it's still less annoying than my Zbook, with louder fans (but no whine)
I did not realize but this laptop ships with a USBC power adapter even though it has a barrel charging port. This is is rather annoying as it has 2 USB-A ports and 1 USBC, but now I don't have the USBC anymore due to the charger using the port.
I was surprised get a glossy screen because I've been craving for one. Even thought he screen is 300 nits, it is very comparable to my 400 nit Zbook. I was worried about glare but during daytime and no direct sunlight, it's very visible with barely any reflections.
The power button is a little weird as it's also the fingerprint sensor. It does not have a tactile press like a typical keyboard button, so I am a slight bit worried of this button breaking after thousands of presses.
