One and only problem with Gift card is, when you cancel, credit goes to each individual's account and not to primary account from which family tickets are booked.

Yes you can apply for a price adjustment online in Costco support, I've done this before on the Southwest Gift Card

If you bought it at the store then return it at the store. If you bought it online then return it via online chat. 🤷

Online support cannot help with warehouse purchases.
If the price is lower at store as well then you can request for price adjustment at store.
