s&s 15% as low as $7.54 for over 2 pounds of beans!

imho if you drink your coffee black, i'd get house
if you "dilute" your coffee with milk, then get bold.

I had Bold last time it sold this low, and was pleasantly surprised - at least as good as Lavazza (of beans claiming similar flavor notes) at half the price. I had been tracking the House for price break, so I ordered one and thought I'd share this hidden nugget with SD. This newer line is NOT like other Amazon stripe bag coffees, so before you flame - check the packaging of what you may have tried in the past. when I got my Bold bag late 2023 it had over a year left on it, so this is probably a quarterly overstock sale, not some near expired blowout.

I believe you're talking about beans from two different continents (Sumatra is from Indonesia in Asia, Mt. Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania in Africa). Coffee farms don't exist at 14,000 feet. The highest is probably at less than 2000m--much lower than 14,000 feet.
yes it is the island of Sumatra near Singapore:

most of what costco sells are starbucks dark beans.
i don't consider them a good value, just trash beans.
The beans aren't trash, but they ARE darkly roasted, resulting in strong flavors of carbon and ash.

Normally a Lavazza snob for our Jura. Grabbed one of each. I am sure they will be good enough ringer through the bag. Judgement will be served if we reorder.

Sorry to bust your bubble Big Grin, but there is nothing snobby about Lavazza. It's about as mainstream/mass produced as it gets for espresso.

Not knocking it, I use it almost daily, just sayin'.

Kirkland brand coffee is garbage. Super oily and bitter. We bought a bag a couple of weeks back and ended up returning it.

More for me cuz I find the stuff delightful!
