My city is weird there is always a CVS and Walgreens at the same exact intersection. You would think they would stay slightly away to minimize competition. But hey, their business plan researchers probably get paid a lot more than me.

For whatever reason, there's quite a few industries where brands just pop up a store directly next to their competitors. I've never seen Home Depot too far from a Lowe's. Or Burger King or Wendy's too far from a McDonald's. CVS always has a Walgreens or Rite Aid across the street. Walmart used to have Sam's Club right outside for logistics, but there was always a Costco and/or BJ's down the block. Even Targets are usually reasonably close to a Walmart. My guess is they want to directly compete for that market, instead of finding their own. That and finding the right real estate can be incredibly difficult.

Well put. I was about to write something similar. Secondly, when the retailers conduct research for the best location for their target market, it is likely that retailers with similar positioning will end up wanting to be in the same neighborhoods. And they end up nearby.

I found one site that says it expires Sat. 3/16. I don't know how reliable this is. No other sites gave an expiration date.

Walgreens probably knows they can crush cvs while sleeping. CvS probably came first or think their 3x profits can win. But I bet Walgreens came last. That's capitalism. Ask blockbuster how they won on every corner.

Cost cutting= eliminating competition = replacing them = Netflix 🤣👌

Beware, the image quality of prints from my local CVS is trash: they must do insane jpg compression on your uploads because gradients in skies were full of banding and posterization. I wouldn't want even free prints from them: total waste of paper 🤢 🤮

Thanks for the deal! Bad experience picking them up though. I had a confirmation email and an email saying they were ready for pick up. When I got there, they said they had no record of my order. They checked a bunch of different ways, then told me I could reprint. I didn't have all the same photos on my phone, so I reprinted different ones. Then a manager came over and told me I'd have to pay for my reprints, so I explained the situation and then they found my original order and threw away the reprints... All said, took about 40 minutes to pick up my online order.

Also, the quality is trash Smilie
