Tent was so good i wrote a review. Got stuck in a heavy rain storm with some high winds. Tent stood tall and didn't leak. Spacious and easy to set up. Just buy some better stakes.
You pull it out a case and basically unfold it. You can do it by yourself np. Then when your done, just click the releases and fold it right back up. No loose poles unless u have a canopy and then it's just one flex pole. It's pretty much instant

Got the Dark Rest version of this last year when it was $80. Got my tent setup in less than a few minutes. Then watched as everyone else struggled for the next hour getting their tents up. Worth.
I have a coleman heavy duty one. But it weighs a ton and takes forever to set up. Bought one of these to take out in the backyard with 3 year old for over night camping.
Does anyone have the Ozark Trail tent similar to this one but with the led lights at the top? I'm wondering if the price difference is worth those lights or just get a lantern😀
Same question as DaywikC. Ordered the Coleman 8 person tent, but wondering if this is better since it sets up instantly. Also, Coleman tent has fiberglass poles in the roof which people are saying it's less than ideal. Should I return it for this one?
The MSRP of the Coleman one is almost twice this one. However I'm not sure why. Is it because of the brand name?
Thanks!
I bought the coleman 8 person tent before this deal popped up. should I return the coleman since this be more of an ease to setup?
I too am on the same boat… been coming back to this thread to see if anyone has replied but since no one has, I just googled Coleman vs. ozark tents and found this https://youtu.be/mJVMdToexyc?si=yRDTEnTEqxVDoTBa
I've had personal experience with the Tenaya from friends who have it, hence why I felt I had to catch the deal. But it is HEAVY. The ozark is bigger, slightly cheaper, and still 30ish pounds but about 5 pounds lighter vs. Coleman (according to UPS shipping label, it's about 37lbs😦). From another YT vid, the ozark tent does seem easier to set up. But I think I'll stick with the Coleman Tenaya since 1) I really like the hinge door, very convenient, and 2) despite Coleman quality declining overall, it's still more reputable for camping/tents, and the YT video I linked seems to support my claims. The video doesn't show the exact same tent models on Slickdeals but comparing brands, I'll choose Coleman.

Just buy the warranty. If in three years if it doesn't last and breaks you get your money back. All state won't make you send in the busted tent lol
besides that video you linked for us isn't even this tent. bah
