1500 yards of 10lb is insane for $6. If you're spending over $50 anyway, def throw it in!

You can go as low as 1/4 of the weight of your target fish. I've caught alligator gar on 10lb test. That being said, higher test line is going to also have better resistance to breaking when it rubs on sharp objects.
I just ordered some 50lb test for saltwater fishing, anything that can break that is something I don't want to reel in 😂

Should I be using braid for fishing walleye? Upcoming Canada trip, have not fished for walleye in years.

Can you guys make a comment regarding color? I saw some webs that stated you should always use line that matches the water you fish in due to possibly spooking the fish. I figure green is the way to go for ocean - but even murky dark lake fishing. Any thoughts?

I use the green for fishing the great lakes (michigan and erie) as well as inland lakes around the midwest. If I cannot find green then clear is ok, I just prefer the green.

I'm a noob fisherman. Is there anything else you recommend from Bass Pro to get to $50?

These are on sale:

Terminator Pro Series Jig | Bass Pro Shops

Again what are your thoughts on color, and weight? There are 1/4 oz al the way up to 1 oz sizes.

Good deal. But, if you tack on the $5 shipping, you can buy at Amazon for about $2.50 cheaper.

If you are flipping fish then yes. 20lb braided is like 6lb in dia i mono. If not then use w/e. If around rocks then no.

Fluorocarbon is best for the leader imo. I use 6lb for walleye.
