I buy the black friday deals. I got hulu for 99c/mo, disney+ for $1.99/mo and max for $2.99/mo. All with ads. But see the first paragraph. The bit of stuff that does come out I can sit through a few ads.
The ads are mostly for other shows on the service.
But the one-and-done ad free approach is cheaper. You just have to wait a while.
And there's NFW I'm paying $15-20/mo persistently. I used to get the annual subs when they were $25-100. Not anymore.

2. Go to AMEX offers and look for "HBO MAX Spend $99+ and get $25 back. Add offer to the eligible card.
3. Pay with the AMEX card for yearly subscription and get $25 back as a statement credit from AMEX.

Yes, checkout through your favorite cashback site, and pay with your Amex. Just make sure the cashback posts to your account.
As I'm no longer a Plus member so not sure if they have the same offer as last year.
It's a click through offer on the Sam's website which brings you to the Max website....where you can buy the annual packages. Got Cash Back from Sam's and then the credit on my Amex offer later.
Anyone who is a Sams Plus member wanna check if there is an offer we can stack with? If it is available, might justify me upgrading the remainder of my year to Plus
