800 cycles not 400. And its not charges... its full cycles. So you would have to run from 100 to 0 and charge back to 100 every single day for over 2 years to reach 800 cycles. At that use level it is not a great choice but if used as an emergency power device or portable power device like when camping... its perfect at this price. Keeping the SOC between 20% to 80% when possible can also add considerable battery life.

DELTA
Capacity:1260Wh
Life Cycles: 800+ Cycle
Output: 1800W (Surge 3300W)
AC Input: 1200W Max
Solar Input: 400W

Cycles are 800 and the battery does not die. After 800 cycles the battery loses 20%

The battery life drops at a very fast rate after the battery loses 20%, so it is effectively dying after 800 cycles. Cells can also swell and leak acid as the battery degrades.

Edit: Here is a research paper on Lithium Ion capacity and charge cycles. https://www.mdpi.com/2313-0105/9/3/177. Specifically this graph shows that after 0.8 capacity, the battery will drop to 0.2 capacity within the next 200 cycles or so: https://www.mdpi.com/batteries/ba...7-g006.png

Like who really cares it's Less than $400 with a 2 year warranty. 99% of people that buy this will NEVER EVEN REMOTELY reach 800 full cycles. It's just amusing to watch all the arguments...LOL!

The only thing that sucks about this unit is it's easy to forget to turn off because the screen turns off after a few seconds anyways. If you don't turn it off by holding the power button down for 2 seconds, it will drain the battery within a couple days. SUPER ANNOYING.

That is true!
Also, the failed power station barely caused by batteries......
That is why refurbished is on sale !

Why are these things called generators or power stations? Looks like a glorified battery backup with fancy buzz words.
This is a common question and the cause of many arguments. I like to argue it this way. They are called generators because they can generate useable power from something not useable. Why is a Honda gas generator called a generator? Because it can take gas and turn it into useable power. Without gas it does nothing. Similarly a solar generator can capture the sunshine (via solar panels) and turn that into useable power. The bonus is the storage of that power...the battery. It is truly a generator by definition...but its hard to accept it because of pre-existing perceptions. In addition to that aspect, you can charge the battery several different ways using both AC or DC. Its quiet, safe, and can be run indoors without toxic fumes. There are so many advantages over gas generators quite frankly...its just for some reason folks are resistant to the tech.

Old tech. Avoid. Only consider getting LFP tech, safer.

They must be trying to really dump all stock.

I own this model and bought refurbished about a year ago. Used it during a power outage to power my fridge and interner. Works great. Also I use it daily, have a solar panel charging it. I use it to empty daily.

No issue on my end.

I purchased one previously, it has 100% life left 💯😜, they sent brand new one to me ..
refurbished means it got returned in 30 days mostly , the battery were still quite new ..
Unless I missed it, there's no way for you to know you have 100% life left.

Nice lie and you did got 5 gullible SDers.

Why no way I knew it was brand new? newbie does not know, but "Pro" does know.

Because they sent brand new one to me, so I knew.
Long story short. They initially sent me one was defective (AC inverter malfunction), then re-sent another one with other problem. They didn't want send third refurbished one , so they let the local dealer delivered a brand new one to me...It was 100% brand new. LoL 😂
The refurbished two actually very looked very new! just had circuit issues ... battery never was problem

There are far more factors to cobalt-based chemistries than just cycle count. Age, DoD, temperature, humidity, inverter profile, C-rate all make a difference as well as cobalt-based are far more dangerous in thermal runaway than LFP batteries. The other thing cobalt-based does not like to be charged and kept over 80% like LFP so you need to calculate the 20% headroom and they also highly dislike under 20%.

As someone who has multiple EV I can go on along w/ multiple ESS that what is on paper and what is in reality can vary greatly.

In general LFP are safer and cheaper w/ lower c-rate and somewhat worse energy density but they can also last longer.

I bought a river 2 (LFP) refurb which isn't "technically" expandable but I have easily put in on my small generator if I need to extend and you can wire a 12v-48V external battery into it to extend it if need be so I think you can easily expand the capacity of this cheaply w/ an external DIY LFP pack w/ integrated BMS.

can this charge at the same time it is delivering power? Like a computer UPS? I'm thinking about this or the Delta 2 to replace my failed cyberpower. I'm currently using my zero breeze elechive for this and it works great, but it was too expensive to leave it dedicated to his purpose.

Yes, it does charge and use at the same time!

Although I'm not a fan of it being refurbished, this is actually a great price. Rarely do I see these cheaper then if you were to build one yourself (battery, inverter, controller, case and fans). Very tempting.
