It'd be a good deal at the $599 - $649 price point at this stage ( new OLED iPad Pros on the way per grapevine )

For non-professionals or business users I'd advice to save the 200$ and get a M1 iPad Air
Remember, when OLED model releases the M2 model will be on clearance and on sale for good prices, maybe even better than the 700$ we have now.
And example of this is the MacBook airs. New model drops, and the old one gets 200$ cheaper at retailers

Not really. I got one 3 months ago for black Friday for $550. With the new models coming out soon, I would hold the line and wait for $600 or less.
