Not really. I got one 3 months ago for black Friday for $550. With the new models coming out soon, I would hold the line and wait for $600 or less.

Where was it available for $550 this past Black Friday?!

Strange time to buy as no spring event announced (might not even happen) and new iPads keep getting pushed back. Once new wave is announced you will see deeper discounts. Hold off a bit longer if you don't need it immediately. New ones are close!

Id recommend the pro if you could find it closer to $600. Promotion, wide angle camera, 4 speakers, and larger base storage is worth the upgrade.

If it's 600$ definitely go pro. But for casual users I don't think any improvements other than speakers will be noticeable.

120hz on my iPhone 15 pro doesn't really feel too different so for casuals I don't think it's useful.

Higher storage is good, but most people just store everything other than apps in the cloud anyway.

It was available on AAFES for military and veterans at that price. It was available for $600 many times last year for the public.

You're paying $50 less than MSRP for a device that's about the get a major screen and front camera upgrade. Unless you urgently need a 4th Gen 11" iPad Pro, don't do this to yourself.

TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT.

I got the new 12.9" 128GB Wiffi model from Costco last year for $899. that was a good deal.

Anyways, this is not worth it. The new ipads release is imminent. Any day now they will be announced. Not worth it to buy these. If they were like $550 maybe.....but definitely not $699.

JUST WAIT!

OP - Add the storage on the title so folks know.

I recently got this iPad Pro. TBH, I haven't experienced any difference between this iPad Pro and iPad Air 5th gen.

It'd be a good deal at the $599 - $649 price point at this stage ( new OLED iPad Pros on the way per grapevine )

Agree with the current sale pricing not being enough with new models coming out. What people need to find out about those new models is how much battery life of those new models may suffer due to the energy-hungry OLED or will battery life be improved where it doesn't matter too much.

Once you switch to 120 hz. There's no going back. Everything that moves is so smooth and easy on the eyes.

For real. I don't understand how people can say there's no difference. That alone is huge to me. I go between the 15 pro max and an iPad Mini, the 60 Hz screen is awful

The Mini's low brightness is more frustrating than the 60hz. It's just low enough to be slightly annoying.

It's either its smoother on the new ones, or purposely chopped on the old ones. We'll never know the real answer. Given that the power with new CPU is mainly power to stream advertisers who want more ability to make their products have stronger sensory experience with each upgrade. Part of the customer footing the bill is to help with that process to aid better advertisements with each technology upgrade.

Having that established, nothing we can do. We have to accept it and update our stuff. I usually buy the new ipads for educational purposes that honestly could have been applied on older technology but isn't for the reasons of always making the new stuff look like next evolution cycle. It's how it is, I am not saying good or bad. But people should take marketing hype with a grain of salt because its a little bit of a distortion. Some of it is truthful but it has reasons behind it that makes us sheeps to the system.

120Hz is highly noticeable in a good way. My wife has a 60Hz phone and I can instantly see how less smooth it is than my Pro. I hate when I have to put my phone in low power mode as it limits the screen to 60Hz.
