I wouldn't be so sure. The amount of people who are dumb enough to agree with another commenter that this item alone can do the same thing to sunlight as a gas generator can do to gasoline makes me question the amount of functioning brain cells the average consumer buying this kind of item really has.
There is another issue, if you leave the unit connected continously to power the BMS loses calibration and you end up with lower than stated capacity as time goes. not a good thing.. So you need to periodically (monthly) drain fully and recharge . Kind of a pain, unless you're okay with such.a tihing..

Wow, you're right. How has no one said this before?
Solar Generators are called this because their common use case is to "generate" usable AC and DC power out of sunlight via conversion from solar panels. Also a primary use for these was to replace portable generators which rely on gasoline or propane. Hence, it's a generator and not a battery bank, because you can plug solar panels into any one of these and generate AC/DC current with it.
Why do they have thousands of refurb/return on what seems like every different model they make?
Every big company does. It's just where they choose to sell them. Some companies sell them all to other companies to sell and some do it themselves. People return a lot of things for different reasons. Amazon sells all their open returns in many many different ways. Most of them they just stack on pallets and sell the pallets for a set amount of money. Whatever you get is whatever you get when you buy a random pallet.

They are both LiFePO4 chemistry batteries. This one (ecoflow) states 3000 cycles and the bluetti says 2500 - i'd expect them to both last about the same (same tech).
Bought last time. Unit was scratched and didn't work or charge properly. They didn't want to take it back or even exchange it! Foruntately Ebay did the return...

Most full sized refrigerators hit around 600W on compressor startup, then cut back to 90-170w continuous.
My full-size Maytag top-freezer hits 700+watts on startup, then cuts back to 110w when running.
so it's possible this unit would work, but as it drained below 75% (for example) the surge would likely cause the EcoFlow to cut off (overload condition).
I have a Honda EU3000iS I use for blackouts. The eco mode idles engine down based on load. If only the fridge is hooked up, it'll stall/overload the generator when the fridge compressor kicks on. To avoid this, I have other things hooked up (like my aquarium, furnace fan, etc). That way when refrigerator hits with a 800w load, generator doesn't cut out.
