Google Pixel 8 128gb is $399 for existing subscribers if you log in and go to the product page.

Seems to be the cheapest way to get the new Pixel 8 for existing Mint Mobile subscribers that doesn't involve porting to a different provider.

Note that the phone will be locked for 12 months to Mint--although it seems like some folks have had luck with unlocking Mint devices earlier by contacting Mint directly, typically around the 90 day mark. YMMV

I'm a Mint customer but the 12 month lock kills it for me.

Same here, I want to be able to use travel e-sim. No point in getting this phone if I will have to carry another one just for data while I'm travelling.

For people that purchased the Pixel 7 bundle deal (with 12 months Mint service) roughly 12 months ago, isn't this just like $100-150 to upgrade? Assuming you're going to continue using Mint's service.

This deal is just $399 for the Pixel 8 (which is locked to Mint for 12 months). The Pixel 7 (assuming decent condition) that you have will become unlocked, and then can sell for what looks to be $250-300 on any local marketplace or ebay.

In my area pixels aren't worth cra.. I've seen brand new 7a sold at $225 and 8 at $320 and it took a while for 8 to be sold, so I would say if someone buys it they might have to keep it or loose some money when trying to sell depending on their area so check prices first. BestBuy is selling refurbished 7 as low as $260 RN which I would trust more over buying used for example: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/goog...Id=6546095.

Stay far away from this carrier! if your area has no service then they won't tell you and then you're stuck in your plan
They offer a 7 day free trial so why didn't u do the free trial prior to buying a yearly plan? Seems like user error to me.

If my wife and I each already have Mint and don't plan on leaving it, could.one of us make use of the 6 free months? Or is that only for new accounts?

I did the annual because it was half price and they promised perfect service in my area. I guess I didn't know not to believe them.

Are you new to cellular service? Every cell provider exaggerates coverage and always has.

Can I buy this, leave it in a drawer with my other phone activated on mint and ask for an unlock after the period is done?

No and Tmobile is great in my area and Mint doesn't work at all.
Mint uses T-Mobile's network.....ie they use the same towers/signal.
