Keep that 5700XT. I think the 7600 outperforms the 5700XT a bit at 1080P, but starts dropping behind at higher resolutions due to lower memory bandwidth. The biggest real benefit of the 7600is lower power draw.

Whoa! No!

All the benchmarks and reviews show that VRAM is super important at any frame rate over 1080p. Just look [tomshardware.com]at how the 7600 XT performs compared to this thing at QHD. It gets 25% more frames with a small clock speed bump and extra VRAM.

Cards with 8 GB of VRAM should only be purchased if you plan to stay on 1080p.

This is a PCIe 8x card! You're going to lose some frames on a PCIe 3.0 bus! Still a good value, but you're not going to get quite the performance shown in many benchmarks.
Quote from Mindspeed :
only 1-3% performance loss thankfully. I had the highest benchmark for a while on an outdated mobo.
Exactly, and congrats!

Finally upgrading my R9 290 after almost 10 years (https://slickdeals.net/e/7428642-xfx-double-dissipation-radeon-r9-290-4gb-215-free-shipping-newegg-with-visa-checkout?v=1&src=SiteSearch).

Looking to squeeze out 10 years with this one! How do I do it? I video edit mini dv footage and game on low settings if and when I have to. Suck on that, planned obsolescence!

Best Regards,

69er
R9 280 to RX 6600 here, but will ruin it by getting something faster if I find a good enough deal. I'm being offered 70% of the $150 I paid for the 6600 in trade-in value. Yes, I could sell it for a lot more but that's too much of a hassle for me.

Thanks! Yea I was surprised, my $230 card was going head to head with a 3060ti. The Nvidia crowd will yell that the 7600 cant do RT well, neither can a 3060ti. People who care about 4k, and more so RT, need to be looking at a 4070 or whatever the AMD equivalent is.

In your case, I dont think I would do the trade. Sure, you get 20% more performance, but you can get a 6700xt right now for $270. Is that worth another $50? Tough call imo.

This is the problem AMD is having, there are too many cards at the same price point. I too had a 6600, but Amazon had the 7600 + game for $230 last year so the 6600 went back to Newegg (thankfully). No complaints with the 7600 (paired with a 5600x and 32 gigs of ram).

I can get a $332 XFX AMD Radeon RX 6800 Speedster 16GB, with $105 trade-in for the 6600, so $230 or so plus tax for a LOT more performance. Open box, but XFX is a great brand and it's still covered under warranty.

I could have actually upgraded to the RX 7600 for $20-$25 more while I was still able to return the 6600. That would have probably been a better value than paying 230 more for the 6800.

VRAM is overrated. 8GB is fine for most even in future. I would never buy used GPU especially with all the mining that went on.
Couldn't be more wrong.

But with the RTX5090 coming out soon you should wait and get nearly double the performance and it will only be 15 times more expensive. Think of the 8k gaming you could do!
Actually I don't think that "15 times more expensive" is that far off. It will probably be around 3k so yeah. 15 times more expensive it not a joke lmfao!

These sites only care about ad(s) shown on their sites. They dont care about the quality of their data. But people still use their data/site anyway.

For real,
RX 7600 8GB about= RX 6700 10GB > RX 6650 XT 8GB > RX 6600 XT 8GB > RX 6600 8GB > RX 6600m 8GB PCIe x4 from Aliexpress

Also did a Best Buy price match to have it shipped to me. Takes a little while, but not too difficult.

Picked up yesterday , solid card for price, people are scarred off by 8GB too much, I never had any issues with with my 3060ti and I'm sure will be the same for this card at this current time.

I have a 5700xt and I completely agree, the amount you'll pay for the 7600 is way more than you'll gain, plus 5700xt's are not selling for that much used, so you're going to be getting much in in return for it.
