This is the typical 20 percent Lego sale that they run on many sets. There will be discounts bigger than 20 percent sometime this year or next, but no one knows when that would.m be. You have to check sort of regularly. If that's not worth a few bucks of saving, then just get it now and enjoy. That's what I did.

This is one of my favorite LEGO sets ever and that's including several $300+ sets and the large LEGO Bowser set. I'm not sure what it is but the construction of the car and figure just feel so perfect. The only complaint that I have is that they use the QR code piece in place of the center spike on Bowser's back, it would have been nice to include the pieces for the spike if you don't want to use the QR code but oh well. I like this set so much I might buy it again if it goes any cheaper.

My son just got this at Barnes and Noble at full price and I thought it was worth it. Nice set which he built himself (he's 6) but was a challenge. He has the Lego Mario pieces that interact with this but I think it would be a good set even if you don't have them.

Could you just switch the location of the QR code piece with the bottom spike? Might be kind of a happy medium that way - you get the center spike, and it still has the QR code.

its too bad they didnt make it bigger. in SM3dW the car is much bigger than mario.
