Glass lenses can cause permanent vision loss if you are wearing them during a vehicle collision that sets off passenger facing air bags. The force will shatter the glass and shards will end up in your eyes.

Polycarbonate lenses are safer since they would not shatter. Just some food for thought.

Glass Lenses? I would think Zeiss would be glass, but it does not say, Made where? China, Taiwan, Japan, Italy? Zeiss brand has always been quality, but then it seems sometimes these major companies to sell off their name for a certain product to make a quick buck. Anyone know if these are premium quality or just junk?

Some of them say lens is Zeiss, others don't. Can't tell if they are glass or polycarbonate, or what the difference there might be.

Anyone having any experience with these?

Received mine today. Not glass and frame is flimsy. But at $40 I am happy these are nice glasses and as always Eyedictive delivers.

I'm curious what a semi-polarized lens is. Never heard that term before. I guess I'll go google that.

Great deals on very well made sunglasses. I saw/used this promo about a month ago to get 1 & now I can get the same pair for the other car. Lightweight but sturdy, lenses are pristine (not plasticky & overall just quality made. No squeaky hinges, flimsy materials or anything cheap about it. Not sure if $200 is the real current regular price but for $40 they are awesome.

Each authentic Zeiss lens has a very subtle engraving in the form of Z. The titanium Slim Aviator has it, the Slim Rectangle doesn't. FWIW.

That being said, I don't know if they are glass or polycarbonate as someone said in an earlier comment.

Where do you see it on the lens? I think it's too subtle for me to notice
