I once did an experiment, weighing these with and without shells. It is approximately 50% shells, within a fraction of a percentile.

So when you compare cost-per-ounce, double it to compare to shell-less pistachios.

Costco is way better quality. There is about 20% burnt or overcooked pistachios in here.
