People are allowed to carry food in. We bought a small backpack cooler and filled it with sandwiches, drinks, snacks for the day. We saved a ton of money!! Just can't bring alcohol, stinky food, loose ice. We used plastic ice packs. Bought our groceries at Costco Orlando and stayed in a budget Airbnb

Disney feeling the financial pinch. Talked with several staff members who are talking about insane deals, layoffs, low occupancy at resorts, high pressure for time shares, and as seen here, discounts on tickets.
I just stayed at the Polynesian for 1 week and when we had our flight cancelled I asked if they had a room available for us… they literally had 1 room available at the resort for $1,200 a night. Fortunately our flight ended up going but of course I would not have paid that much. I was there for a week and the parks were packed. At least from my one week observation your comments don't track.

I'm not a defender of Disney. I think it's way overpriced, overly complicated and thus lost its magic but that isn't stopping people from coming. Nice to see more reasonable prices so more families that want to go can make it a reality for their kids.

good luck buying one slice of pizza that will cost $15 bucks and one small drink for $9 bucks.... inside disney. Get ready to spend over $1000 bucks on food alone for 2 days just for a family of 4..

I live in Orlando, with numerous friends who work at all the parks -- you don't "know" anyone at WDW, stop making up silly stuff. 🙄

Disney world ticket price inflation compared to rises in gas prices, wages, and rent: https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbe...crease_vs/
Has the value of the experience risen 4,000% since 1971?

Yay I was planning on a Disney trip last week and 4 day tickets were $2300 now it's $1600.00 after tax for 3 adults 1 child.

Disney resorts are $250+/night though so I'm staying offsite and using ride share each day.
A Disney themed AirBnb, which there are a TON of, is the way to go. Big house with a lot of room, along with a rental minivan from Turo.

I feel really bad for the people with young kids now who love Disney. Not that long ago Disney was insanely affordable. Free meal plans, affordable upgrades, $100 pop century rooms, $500 for 9 day tickets with water Park options leaving 18 tickets total for mini golf, quest, and I forget other stuff. I remember I think I paid $6000 total for a 19 day Disney extravaganza for 4. Upgraded meal points, ate like kings and queens, unlimited drink cups, overflowing snack points to the point we were randomly buying kids ice creams and still ended up getting 15 packs of candy before leaving.

Not to mention 3 free fast passes daily, and another pass every 45 thereafter. Food options were amazing, I recall adding a cirque du Soleil night as well.

Was this 1971? Don't think I have ever seen these prices. My wife and I are working 12 hours a day and selling feet pics just to try and go for 1 day.

I was there in early Feb. At least an hour wait on any popular ride. Nearly 3 for Tron. Out of principle I refused to give them more $$ for lightning lanes.

Would love to know when there's "nobody there".
