Shifting. I've yet to see a UST projector that doesn't.
Looks like the 8k USTs coming out in next 12 months or so will pixel shift a native 4K to 8K.

This vs the formovie?
That's interesting. Same boat here. I want to say the knock on this was slightly worse performance (which I'm still skeptical of) vs formovie. And at twice MSRP no brainer. Formovie just has trash support I think.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

For anyone that cares - these use the 2716x1528 dlp chip. So better than the 1080p chips that pixelshift to 4k.

We should really all rally together so manufacturers are required to put the chip resolution or at least the chip size/model in specs.

If true there were not implemented correctly imo.

There should be a definite difference, how big and even more so is it worth it are whole other topics!
This subject has come up many times, and here is a good video to explain it. Watch this on your 4k TV (without the 4k signal boost) or your monitor and see if you can tell.

Very high input lag kills the deal for me.
Optoma CinemaX D2 is still the best all around and game focused projector out of the whole group. Low input, 3-D, pretty accurate color, average to good contrast. Im not even using a screen just a whitewall.

You could only tell if you blow up the screen to 100" and sit a foot away from it.

That's a main reason why people go with a projector, a 100" + in screen size.

Having compared from 12' & 15' I could definitely tell a difference.
Now how big a difference would vary from person to person.

Can always buy it, set it up outside, put some chairs around a firepit and maybe you might find some friends???

Insert your momma joke here about her ass being big enough for a screen.

If you bought a lady a nice purse, I bet she'd be your friend.
