It's very heavy because of the cotton denim. You don't want to wear it on a hike, unless you are trying to make it difficult.
The black shows dirt easily.
The Dry Clean only tag is actually a deal with Levi and the DCAA ie the Dry Cleaning Associates of America. It's an unofficial union that brokers deals with large textile manufacturers in order to increase business.
lmao I really do manage a dry cleaner though. It's 100% cotton denim exterior and 100% polyester interior. It's fine to cold wash. Drying is more of a toss up since there's a chance of uneven shrinkage or texture change because of the different fabric. My recommendation on cleaning this would be cold wash, tumble dry till mildly damp then hang dry till dry. Tumble dry for a few minutes or until soft
