I don't think they're this brand, nor this good.
Every single time. Why are you in this thread then?

Also, even "Dollar" Tree is $1.25 now. You're not getting a flashlight this nice for 99 cents.
You obviously don't know the difference between olight and garbage.

It's well worth $5. I have them on all my keychains.
Incredibly powerful and reliable

I like flashlights and I've bought many of them over the years. I would never pay $5 for such a basic flashlight like this. I'm sure it's fine for what it is, but it's on/off and that's it. You asked for a link, so here's [temu.com]a flashlight that I've bought 8 of (I've got 6 kids). It's rechargeable, has adjustable zoom, has 2 brightness levels and strobe, and is under $2 (I paid around $1 each before Christmas). None of my kids have broken theirs yet, it's plenty bright, and the battery seems to last a good while. It's not a keychain light, but it's head and shoulders better than the light in this deal and 60% cheaper.
Be aware this site has a $20 minimum order so getting one or two isn't possible. You don't find that out until final checkout so they may just be harvesting information that they request (email, phone, and address)

That is not true. I've ordered $14.99 flashlights from them before; and anyone can get this free flashlight (plus $5 shipping) without purchasing other items. I've bought from them for years.

Since they quoted post about Temu, I am inclined he is writing about Temu and not Olight.
But I did ask for clarification.

The knocks against $5 shipping are kind of silly...this is their normal shipping policy even without this promo, it's not really some kind of accounting gymnastics. I believe if you order enough to get free shipping you really do just get this for free.

I'll be critical too, I've already mentioned before that I don't like AAA flashlights due to their lack of power/utility when a low phone flash is generally available. If I'm going to carry a flashlight I want something with significantly more power than my phone, not marginally more.

Olight also has a lot of paid shills so you gotta watch out for that. Their products are pretty good quality but a lot of them use non-standard batteries that you can only get from them and of course more expensive. They also mostly use very cold and low CRI emitters, though usually very efficient at least, basically erring on the side of output/lumens instead of a pleasant or high CRI light. That's not meant as a negative remark, that's just the usual trade off between output/efficiency vs. pleasing and CRI.

I like these little lights, i picked up the i3e and i3t 2 last time but they were cheapies/freebies on the order and i didn't think much of them but after having them they are handy as heck. I went on to learn about using 10440 batteries in them and went a step further and found usb-c rechargable 10440's which i figured would be a sacrifice in capacity but being able to recharge easily was worth it.

I was about to grab this i3e again for $5 and I noticed the i1R 2 Pro (wow these names are kinda silly to type out) with the integrated usb-c charger and i'm going to give them to family members who backpack and leave them in cars. I imagine it uses a propriety battery that will some day be trash but they look too handy.

so far the i3T is my favorite, the dual brightness switch and size is just perfect, though the tiny i3e... i like that one a ton as well, wayyyy more than i thought.

Have an entire streamlight stinger ecosystem, these little guys live up to the positive hype on this site.

One of these lives in my IFAK that is in my hiking pack. A situation where I may or may not have a phone depending if things went wrong and it is gone or it is dead. I also do not have the ability to easily hold my phone in my teeth or between my lips and point it at something while needing both hands (like first aid needs). This with a spare AAA in the pack is a great setup where rechargeable would be gamble and you can't easily toss a new battery in if needed. This one like others will get thrown into random packs or in a vehicle for the same use.

Temu's free shipping minimum changes frequently. I placed two orders this week for $3 and $11 and both shipped free, so I could buy just one of these today. But yeah, sometimes there's a $10, $15 or $20 order minimum. I've been shopping there for over a year now and have had nothing but good experiences.

At least for 5 dollars i got it shipped very next morning, while another front page deal from macys is still prepping. I think one of the fastest shippings out there - can't wait to get first reputable brand flashlight.

I don't have a problem with flashlights in general, I have many. I just really don't care for AAA format. AA/14500 size has much more power/utility/runtime for barely any more size/weight, especially if you're saying you pack spare AAA. AA/14500 is as small as I would personally go even if size/weight is a priority.
