Definitely a funky mouse. I got excited thinking it had replaceable switches but only the caps are swappable. Oled screen is an interesting little gimmick but I'm not sure it makes sense here - it only tells you dpi, battery life and connectivity mode, which most logitech mice manage with a single LED. Also the oled screen is covered by your hand when using the mouse...

I just wish logitech could make a lightspeed mouse that doesn't have the double-click issue. I've been thru 5 or 6 g-series mice, all fail the same way, but seemingly few competitors in the low latency space.
Wouldn't the g502x line be ones without the double click - they have the optical switches but are also way too much money. I have one and they also changed the shape a bit

Isn't that just a normal 4-pin micro switch that's gone bad? Its not a difficult task to solder such a part. Not saying this as any kind of defense to mfg. But it seems to be a reality of the forced obosolesence world we live in.

I have a unique problem of cracking left clicks due to my claw grip positioning and pressure... I was hoping this would be good since it has PBT plastic and swappable keycaps, but it sounds like the mouse itself is not one you'd want to game with Frown

I have the G604 and no issues yet. Maybe it'll happen eventually, but I've had it for a couple years now.

They are 3 pin thru-hole switches, at least on the g604s. I have done the solder-in replacement twice, it is a bit of a pain. Skates need to come off (and in my experience, never stick particularly well again), scrollwheel has some tiny annoying springs to handle, and by the time the switches fail my scrollwheel is maybe a month or two away from failing. After the second time of tearing it down, i decided I'd just buy cheap used/refurbed g604s without dongle from ebay, i get a bit over a year of heavy/abusive use out of them.

Logitech is notorious for designing defects into their products.

They kept those models around years after they first started double clicking and didn't come out with the replacement until just last year or so.

Most y'all are taking this way too serious! Isn't it obvious this movie is purely designed for the fun of it??? That's THE WHOLE POINT, FUN!

Nothing else to get, and I love it. It's unabashedly just for design fun.

They aren't pretending to be serious. Just look at it. I give them credit taking a risk designing for fun. It's not getting them rich. And they aren't hiding behind seriousness. Lighten up
Yeah this is totally a mouse I'd buy just to setup for 'on display' for a rarely used or tertiary PC

Be cooler if you could customize stuff on the screen. A little Gif or something. Still unnecessary but at least be usable.

yeah. logitech mice were, by far, my favorite mice until the double click issue on more than 4 of my units. i found that razer viper 3 (i think. can't remember if it was 2 or 3) have held up for awhile and felt incredibly comfortable in hand. i'm now using a finalmouse ulx but that's not easy to get a hold of. def look into the razer viper if you don't want to keep replacing logitech mice.
