NFS (2015) easily has the best graphics/looks almost real out of the entire NFS series. It looks better than the games that came after... If you watched the beginning scene of the 2011 movie "Drive" with Ryan Gosling, you can tell the developers of the game were inspired by it.

But what's a major turn off is how it's strictly online play only and there is no ability to PAUSE the game. NOBODY likes that.

Also, the lame cut scenes in the beginning can't be skipped at all and they end up torturing you.

The game could have had a bigger success, it's really nice driving around in the rainy night environment, but they really screwed up with those key negative points.

Sucks that none of these are multiplayer offline racing. Can anyone recommend a a fun one, ideally for those on a budget?
Need for Speed Rivals can be set to private matches, effectively making it single player. However, I cannot recommend this title unless you really enjoy combat racing with focus on "pursuit tech" weapons used to takedown other vehicles.

Edit: I forgot to mention there is still no ability to pause the game, even in this private match mode.

If you haven't played Titanfall 2 you really should. It's from Respawn who made this small free-to-play game called Apex Legends. This has a lot of the same parkour-ish movement, great gun play, and you get to drive a mech around. Really good story, bright and tight ~8 hours. Perfect at $2.

I was wondering if this thread would have some love for titanfall. I heard the server is still up. Is that true?

I heard the multiplayer servers are still up but I imagine everyone playing is going to be real sweaty. Still excellent $2 for a great single player experience

Just came to say that Titan Fall 2 has the best story line I have ever played. It is well worth $2.

These also work on ps5?
Are you really asking this question in 2024? All ps4 games work on ps5. Period.

As a PlayStation owner you should know that

I literally haven't even owned a Playstaion in my life and I know that

NFS heat is crap. Physics suck.
I regretted buying the game immediately.
Better go for Rivals or Hot Pursuit

What if I press the Home Button? The game still keeps going?

There's no defending that nor it being online-only.

It looks really crappy on the xbox series x...I had to buy it for PC to enjoy the game. Are you saying that PS4 version looks great? Also you can turn off the online part by selecting solo mode.
