Last year they had similar discounts Super Mario RPG, Star Ocean R, and a few other releases https://slickdeals.net/f/16756424-play-asia-nintendo-switch-game-pre-orders-43?src=SiteSear
Just the one thing to be aware of is that if you do multiple preorders in a single order, they won't ship each title as it becomes available, they'll ship everything together in one package when the final game is released.

As legit as it gets my dude.
"Improved" graphics as a selling point, making me confirm that sometimes they take the easy route or purposely withhold back with parameters on consoles for either marketing or standardization purposes that isn't all necessary (not just Nintendo but other companies too). This is a surprise.
"A classic turns the page, bringing fresh visuals and updated features ... has revamped graphics, and a suite of additional changes that make the game easier than ever to enjoy"
This is correct. The game is region free, but the DLC is not
This is a Remaster and not a Remake
If you're talking about Paper Mario, you're wrong. If you're talking about Luigi's Mansion 2, you're correct. Paper Mario is a remake. A remaster would just be bringing the resolution and textures up a little. Remakes, like this, get actual graphical upgrades and don't reuse the old assets. Just because a game is scene for scene the same, doesn't make it a remaster. Changing story elements is a reimagining, which is more like what Final Fantasy 7 is.
Here's a comparison video of the differences. This is a remake. https://youtu.be/BTFhwflQVY0?si=
One way to tell is to compare the supported languages between different versions of the game. If they match, it's likely the same version! (I checked for both of these games & they do indeed match!)
And remember: you can change the game's language by changing your system language.
As far as resale value goes, keep in mind that you likely won't be able to trade it in at most used game stores... but you are saving quite a bit, especially if you can bundle 3+ games together to qualify for free shipping.

Can these games get updates in the US?
Is it just the cover art having Japanese on it?
Way less resale value
