Not really all of a sudden, SW runs these basically once a month, or more.

If you're ever buying SW at retail price, you are a fool. Also if you have contact of any painters, always try to use their contractor discount. Depending on how much they get through SW, you can often get 30-45% off anyway.

I also purchased two five-gallon exterior paints last week during the 30% off sale. Now it's 35% off. I filled out the "Sherwin-Williams Contact Form" and hopefully I'll get an answer if they'll price match.

might be time to pick up a gallon or two of oil based. I was blown away last time I paid full price on a gallon for almost 100 bucks

Meh. Their 35% off price is about the same as Behr (home depot) everyday price for white ceiling paint.
