As for the product, this is the one without the cutline laser (vs the DWS780), though there is a 3rd party kit to add it. I have the 779, and it is excellent, as long as you don't have space constraints for the sliding mechanism behind the saw. If so, I think most people go with the Bosch.

i called the 2 stores near me with stock last night when i first heard about it and they were still at $315. checked this morning and they had dropped to $225 overnight.
