Called another store the town over they said they would do the return, but I would need to bring the product into the store. So YMMV.
Sorry it happened to you. HD's associates has been getting less nice for me too. Making up stuffs about store doesnt have a clearance section, tool's price, etc. Seems like corporate is pushing down on them hard with recent firings and profit targets.
