I think it has slightly wider shoulder straps plus if you look the waist strap is much more robust on the plus model.

No hidden wallet pocket? pass

Hidden wallet pocket (the one concealed facing your back) is a MUST have for everyone.
It seems useless until pickpocketers easily cut the front pocket pick up your stuff and you then learn your lesson.

Happened to me in NY subway, but it was just gum in my front pocket. My wallet was in the concealed back pocked.
Impossible to pickpocket unless they take the whole backpack

Do you have examples of such backpacks? First I'm hearing of this pocket design and would be nice as I too fear what you described.

I understand your point. I would never leave my wallet in my pack in general. I carry a sling tight to front of my body if I'm in an area where I have to worry about it (which is not often). I use the same sling as a small organizer in my pack otherwise.
