Down later in the description it says "Built-in low-voltage protection, the battery light will automatically stop working if the battery voltage is below 15v."
Now, whether that actually protects the battery... But if you can't trust LIVOWALNY, who can you trust?

"LIVOWALNY Cordless 20V Max LED Work Light for Dewalt 20v Battery, 48W 4800LM Flashlight, LED Flood Light, Battery Light with USB and Type C Charging Port LED Light for Outdoors and Job Site Lighting"
i doubt dewalt are on-board with this - with the potential of damaging the batteries.

Agreed, with that being said I have an old battery that doesn't hold charge I kept for using with a similar light.

I purchased the lower wattage one about a year back for about $19. No issues. Used it for a 2 day camping trip and around the house. I am grabbing another one at this price.

I use my batteries on a power wheel with low voltage protection. I am sure this will be fine for the battery. For $14, I will add it to the pile of dewalt stuff.
Cheap products like this can put a constant draw on the battery and possibly not shut off when it says it will. Then it could turn your battery into a brick. My advice is to not leave batteries in this.

That being said, I might pick one up.
In the description they say not to leave it connected.
I picked one up, I'll mark one of my batteries to use only in this and hope for the best.
