I realize that even the most reputable and trusted surge protectors have failures such as burning/shorting out, but usually those are very rare circumstances. One user opened it up and saw poor soldering. I really wanted this but the minority of negative reviews makes me stay clear of it. Hope whoever buys it gets a good one.
Some here will buy without reading my comment, some here will buy without reading any reviews and simply take the 4.8 star rating as good enough, but I still wanted to help those who're skeptical or on the fence or at least just let everyone know what they're in for if they get one of the unlucky lemons. For the most part I believe this product to be a good one, but I cannot risk breaking the things I plan on plugging into this (mainly my and my wife's phones).

As others have pointed out, it does lack a USB-C port, but that comment reminds me that I have a little adapter that I can deploy there just in case someone only has a USB-C-to-something cable they need to plug in.
This one is 13 amp. Your u.s outlets are rated to put out 15 amps. I am not using something like this rated at only 13 amps plugging it into my 15 amp outlet. And the manufacturer says it's on me, wife, kids to make sure I count up the watts plugged in. Or it may burn down my house.
Spend a few extra bucks, don't burn down your house. get a 15A extension.
editing to add, I'm not against this one in particular, I am against any multi extension brick rated less than 15 amps. you don't know how a loved one will use it in the future when you are away.
Ok let's clear something up here. You can plug a 13 amp into a 15 amp with no problems. We do it every day, for example, a 2 amp charging brick into the outlet. That's 2a into a 15a. The brick will only handle up 2a, while this "surge protector" will handle up to 13a.
The outlet means you can withdraw up to 15a (or 20a if installed), not that it's pushing out 15a at all times- otherwise just about EVERYTHING will fry.
I'm sure someone will read this and be more confused. I can't help you there. Seek Jesus. lol.
