No way
Oh god it's back 🥵
These outperform the PB2000 pro IIRC but without the app or ability to run in sealed mode. An insane deal for $699 when the PB2000 pro is $1100.

Do you think it'll be a real benefit to upgrade to 1400 considering my room size?
If you want true subsonics, then sure. Shake the room. Otherwise, probably not worth it.

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased this subwoofer for my brother's home theater, and his home is expected to be ready by December. I found this deal on the sub and bought it right away, thinking I could connect it to our Samsung TV. I got an optical to RCA converter, which worked, but I can't control the sub's volume. It's running at full blast and the vibrations are felt in our apartment, which is also not ideal for our ears. I was wondering if there's a way to control the sub's volume without buying an AV receiver, which I plan to purchase during the upcoming black Friday sale.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Turn the gain knob down on the back of the subwoofer...

Use the gain knob to adjust the output volume of your sub

There is also a Low Pass Filter knob.

Low Pass Filter directs how "soon" the bass kicks in. The lower you set it, the lower the bass needs to be to actually kick in, basically if you only want it to rumble during "rumble stuff" (like explosions) you set it lower, or if you want it to rumble all the time (when someone closes a car door) you set it higher.

The "Gain" (volume on Klipsch) knob controls how loud that bass is when it does kick in.

FWIW Adorama's garbage customer support has been jerking me around since I got this deal in November of last year. I bought two of these, they shipped one new and one that has clearly been repackaged (very poorly, without padding, and in a box that was too small for the 60 lb subwoofer) and had thus also broken a corner of the front of the subwoofer.

It's been 5 months and I've been through first a couple weeks of their support jerking around about returning it, but had to wait on the return for them to do anything, then the sub went on backorder for 3 months, then they couldn't get me the sub and refunded instead of shipping, and now they can't seem to figure out how to ship a new sub at the original $699 price I originally ordered it at but I'm in a limbo that I have a backordered item on order but it's not being purchased or shipped despite them having stock at the price. Total mess.

Basically, purchase from Adorama at your own risk. They may ship you a used item as new and they will make it your problem. And returning an absolute monster of an item is a giant, massive PITA.

I bought one of these the first time they went on sale along with a bunch of other equipment and set it up in a new 7.1.4 home theater built in my converted garage, which is 24' x 36' (larger than ideal for a theater). The sub put a smile on my face every time I use it. It sounds so good, you can feel it, it's super immersive. I'm wondering what it would be like to have two of them although I know that's overkill — it's been long enough that I kind of forget what I already spent so intrusive thoughts are beginning 😂.

Do it!

No matter the sub, 2 is better!

Is this better than 2 pb2000s, and is it good for music?
My understanding is this is more competitive to the PB-3000 or 4000. For this price point, they can't be beat for music.

I bought a second a week ago after buying the first over christmas. No regrets whatsoever. What I really like is that I can set both volume knobs at about two and a half or three and what I get is a more clean and immersive sub-bass. It is not distorted whatsoever.

At the moment this sub at $700 has to be one of the best values in the home theater world. What a powerhouse!!!
