No, Hulu is the one service that rips the trial away from you as soon as you cancel. If you have a paid month you keep you service till the end of the paid subscription period when you cancel but the trial goes bye bye the moment you cancel with them.

The ads are way more disruptive than youtube. Very frequent and long ads in hulu

That's what I was thinking, too, but I wonder if that's part of their timing to try to get people to at least pay for a second month.

thanks for posting this OP Smilie .. and wow ad free that's definitely tempting ! If anyone's interested the movie "Poor Things" which won a bunch of awards is on Hulu right now surprisingly enough (figured they'd wait years after that for the movie to make it to streaming but I could be showing my age Stick Out Tongue , in the streaming wars maybe this is no longer a thing) so might be worth grabbing the offer just for that

Not sure if FX will be kind enough to just "leave" all the episodes of Shogun on hulu for a while such that you can watch them anytime you want.. I know for the more popular series FX may not let Hulu do that .. having said that at the risk of saying something you all probably already know Smilie , you can keep an eye out for deals like this next Black Friday 2024

https://www.cbsnews.com/essential...42.99%2Fmo.

obviously the deal in the link above is no longer current that goes without saying but in case anyone doesn't know Hulu typically runs a Black Friday deal where you can get Hulu for a low price per month for a year , usually with ads and you'd want to set some sort of reminder in google calendar or what not to cancel the subscription before the year is up and they charge full price.

Having said that even with ads I'd argue you get a LOT of TV for your money , there's bound to be enough TV shows you would like to build a hefty watchlist that will keep you busy for a while Smilie

Don't expect Hulu to have a $1-2 Black Friday deal this year. They might, but given the integration with Disney+ and all the streamers' enshittification I wouldn't count on it.

Check to see if it lets you add another service, like Disney+, to the free month too.

Also Paramount plus does too via Sports line signup at least.
