My first time running the numbers on a pre-mixed protein shake:

5.29¢/g Protein - OWYN Pro Elite Plant Blend (Pea > Pumpkin Seed)Price: $20.30 for 9.4 lbs.Unknown % of Protein is Leucine9% of mass is Protein64% of calories are Protein

Being a pre-mix explains the low mass/protein ratio - adding moisture.

However, it does not explain the low calorie/protein ratio.
Too lazy to check macros but Sam's has Owyn shakes if you're a member and near by https://www.samsclub.com/sams/sho...%2015%20pk.)

edit to add: 15 pack of 11.15oz chocolate drinks, 31g of protein . cost per shake is $1.50~ give or take
Been trying to go exclusively plant based for my protein supplements... Giving this a shot. Hopefully it's good!

Owyn tastes grassy to me, but it's cheap
Yeah, the first Amazon review says that it tastes "planty," but it's good if you value protein over taste.

No idea how the 'pro elite' variant tastes, but the standard ones taste absolutely wretched to me. Not everyone's preference is the same, but they have an extremely extremely strong aftertaste. I could not finish one, and I generally have a pretty strong tolerance for bad protein shakes.
That's exactly what I expect when the sweetener is monk fruit. Stevia and monk fruit are the only two non-caloric sweeteners that I can't stand. And it's because of the awful aftertaste. Monk fruit is slightly worse than stevia. I've had actual monk fruit and it's pretty awful. The sweetener isn't much better, and like stevia, it's not very sweet.

Not sure how these companies don't think to put actual nutrition facts on their marketing pages... or maybe thats intentional
It's likely intentional because this isn't very nutritious aside from the protein. Also has some omega fatty acids. No significant sources of vitamins and minerals. The "green blend" is listed last, so it's all for show. Second to last is Himalayan pink salt, another window dressing. Why not just use plain salt? The minuscule amount they use is not going affect the mineral contents but it probably does raise the cost. All in all, this is an overpriced drink for people who value form over function. You can get better nutrition from other plant-based protein shakes. And they probably taste better.

It's not. I thought it tasted like puke.
If the chocolate was on sale, I'd try it. But vanilla is too weak to mask the earthy grassy taste, and the awful monk fruit aftertaste.

Here's the ingredients list:
Water, OWYN Protein Blend (Pea Protein, Organic Pumpkin Seed Protein, Flaxseed Oil), Pea Fiber, Sunflower Oil, Sunflower Lecithin, Gellan Gum/Acacia Gum Blend, Guar Gum, Natural Vanilla Flavor, Monk Fruit Extract, Himalayan Pink Sea Salt, Greens Blend (Spinach, Kale, Broccoli)

Note that the Greens Blend is last. That means there's less of it than even salt. In other words, it's probably a gimmick with no real nutritional value.

It is still working for me. The promo code was a little difficult to add, but it was applied successfully.

That and the protein it has is "plant protein" which is automatically less viable for consumption/absorption per gram than most animal protein. Probably also causes a bit of gas.
