1.6¢/g Protein - NOW Pea Isolate
This deal only brings the price down to just a little below the regular price per gram protein of another pea protein that is isolate and a higher concentration of protein.
1.7¢/g Protein - Deal Supplement Pea Isolate [amazon.com]
Or it's organic counterpart:
1.79¢/g Protein - Micro Ingredients Pea Powder [amazon.com]
Pea protein shines in thick drinks like smoothies and baked goods, where the mild flavor is overpowered by other ingredients. Think of it as something with a neutral flavor that you can sprinkle on to lots of stuff.
Or it's organic counterpart:
1.79¢/g Protein - Micro Ingredients Pea Powder [amazon.com]
The organic version is this one [amazon.com] and only comes in 2.2 lb quantity, so it's quite a bit more expensive.

- Doesn't absorb as well as whey (but nothing does - still works)
- Gritty and doesn't dissolve well like whey.
- Incomplete protein. It doesn't have enough of one of the essential amino acids (forgot which one - starts with M). If you eat animal products, this isn't a big deal. If you are a vegan, you want to make sure you are getting other proteins that have it (like soy or rice protein)
