Yeah it's annoying. I'm a collector/enthusiast and avoid Amazon at all costs. Like yeah I'll get some $$$ off of the product, but lose all joy when opening them and realize they're resealed.

Maybe it's a location based thing, but I've bought multiple ETBs from Amazon and haven't had any that looked resealed. I never buy from third party sellers, only direct from Amazon.

Seeing as this is sold by Amazon, let's say I do get a resealed box. Am I allowed to return this if I open and there are any resealed packs inside?

yes. i got the mimikyu box before and all promo cards were blatantly missing even the oversized card and all packs were resealed (multiple code and energy cards in them, zero holos not even common holos, etc). Amazon refunded and sent a new box which came out alright. Even with the good customer service, i will never be buying from amazon again unless im buying and opening the packs right away. I usually buy to hold for a bit in case there are birthday parties, etc.

Was able to get BestBuy.com to price match with in-store pickup by showing the Walmart link.

Every retailer always have different UPC codes for the exact same sets, which is why BB never price matches Pokemon card boxsets for me in the past. Luckily the Walmart page for this has no info for UPC or other identifying numbers. YMMV of course on the agent helping.

A few months ago I tried to price match Pokemon cards and the customer service said " unfortunately we no longer price match items in the trading card/accessories category". I guess ymmv if you get a rep who will still match the price.

Don't trust that.

I used to sell on Amazon. They give sellers the option to either keep their inventory separate or to commingle their inventory with everyone else's at Amazon including with Amazon's.

If Mr. Shady chooses to mix his inventory, he could send 5 boxes of reseals in and if you order shipped and sold by Amazon, you could very well receive one of Mr. Shady's boxes.

BTW - it is better for a seller to choose to commingle inventory as it can be shipped from anywhere with the same sku versus from the one actual warehouse with your item - so many sellers do this.
