They're clearing stock of the 8, and I guarantee the 8 won't be down to this price when the 8a is out (not at retail anyway).
Then the news of the Pixel 9 will increase.
That's how the Google sales cycle go. It's the same every year now.
Signal keeps switching back and forth between 5g and lte at an area normally have 5g.
When your on a call and you have to look at the phone, it does not want to go back to the call easily, so if your on a call where you have to enter prompts, this makes it very difficult.
When you take a picture, it just doesnt process sometimes and there is a moment where your like did it work oh man everyone hold on my phone didnt work..
If you have certain updates pending, nobody can call you, had this happen twice where all day I didnt get any calls till I had to google issues to find this out, as its not displayed anywhere in front of you to catch it.
Stuff like that, im sure theres more but you get the idea, I am hoping someone at google sees this and does better quality control in the next update.
I was a big advocate of google phones prior to the 8

You can get further discount if you have a select model of phones to trade-in.

Incentives on the 9 are the ones to wait for. Bestbuy had better incentives that Google did on trade ins with my 8 pro.
When the 9 comes out, not this one. Incentives were much better for apple and samsung when the 8/8 pro came out

I have never had any of the problems he described. Mine works great. I love it . I also have iPhone 13 and switch back and forth, but I like more the 8
Planning to buy directly from the Google Store since Google One (2TB) gives me 10% back. I'm also going to try using my own Superfan code for another $50 credit (not sure this will work) ..
Any other promo codes that might make the purchase slicker?

I really want a micro SD card slot, but guess I'll have to buy a bigger phone, because I've maxed out my phone and almost maxed out my .5 TB card.
Apparently not. That's a great price even without the service included.
This seems to be unlimited plan (30GB priority data, then throttled). Anyone have experience with Hello Mobile?
Samsung does a great job of taking Android and adding to it with One UI. You are going to find there are simply options that seem to be missing on the Pixel from a customization standpoint. Plus Samsung's UI is designed to be clean and professional, Google's UI on the Pixel literally feels like it was designed by 8 year-old children... pastel everything, bubbles for windows, clocks with different size numbers, etc, etc...
I was on a Note 20 and was fully ready to swap when the P6 came out. Bought it day 1 and used it for a few weeks. Constant issues, like auto brightness not working, updates taking 20-40 minutes, poor battery life (Compared to a Note), massive camera hump, it got very hot doing simple things.... Just not a flagship phone. I also had the P7 and gave it a try (since Google offered P6 > P7 trades for like $30). Same issues. Nothing has changed on the 8.
The other issue is many places won't take a current generation Pixel as a trade-in, and when they do they are dirt cheap offers. I traded my P7 last Black Friday for a Thinkphone. In every way the Thinkphone is better than the Pixel line (but missing always on display). If I hadn't ordered my S23 Ultra at the same time, the Thinkphone would be my daily driver.
Now you have to TIME them. Right now is the no activity days and deals are not to be found until the late summer and next upgrade cycle. Vendors will start to drop prices so if you are buying new (and not trading in) you could get a good deal. But tis not the season for trade ins.
