Last time it was Zip Pay, but yeah it made me hesitant. I did some checking on it and there doesn't seem to be any actual downside to using Affirm, provided you pay it off of course. You can pay it all off at once, and the credit check is soft so it won't impact you. I'm looking at it as a $100 coupon for some minor inconvenience. I may finally bite on this one.

Interest rates on the affirm plans are atrocious, working out to roughly 30% APR on the discounted purchase price. There goes the discount unless you pay it off immediately (which I'm sure is what Affirm is banking on).

Looking for something to play Homeworld 3 and company of heroes. What are people's thoughts on this rig just getting back into gaming. I don't need 4K just don't need something that will be sluggish.

Definitely not a viable option for monthly payments. The 4 equal payments has no interest though. Affirm obviously is waiting for someone to overspend and not pay it off in 4 payments. But I assume many people have the money to buy this computer outright anyway. For those it makes for a decent discount. Here is the affirm details if others are interested.

It's one of the defining features of the 4000 series cards.

When I tried to checkout with affirm, there was no pay in 4 option. Only 6,12 and 18 month options. I decided against it.

The graphics card alone is hovering around $500-$550 right now.

So, yes, this is absolutely a good deal.

Same. It looks like they don't offer the 4 payment for all retailers. Best you can get is about $33 in interest. Basically the deal plus the interest covers the tax for a total of about $1167 out the door.
