My goto was always the Ridgid 18v factory blemished with the lifetime service agreement through Ridgid. But it seems like there are very few in that condition. The factory refurbished are decent prices but not sure about the quality. Anyone have experience with them?
I'm a fan of Direct Tools but the "sales" have been worse and worse. I've been looking for a Ryobi 40V mower for the longest. Just picked up the smart trek one w/ 2 6ah batteries on Home Depot for $600, and on DTO it's closer to $700 on "sale".
35% off almost everything? I found like 10 % of the item is marked sale, but they are still adjusted price sale. Bigger things might be worth it because of the free shipping if they still have it for ship.
Nice, ordered the Ryobi 21 degree framing nailer for $188.50, came to $199.xx with tax for me. Free shipping is a good bonus. Been waiting for this to be ~$200 so I jumped on it.
Yes, the deals aren't on everything and certainly not as good as they used to be, but there are some good deals to be had with this sale.

I can't find anything good. These are regular home depot sale prices for factory reconditioned. I don't care if factory reconditioned is like a new product from here. I would rather get a new one from home depot

Their shipping prices have increased, but don't expect any better shipping. It might take weeks to get your stuff, which was haphazardly and carelessly tossed into a box with zero padding or protection. Stuff has arrived broken because of this.
They fluctuate their prices on a daily basis, so a 35% off sale doesn't mean all that much compared to "normal".
They've practically stopped doing Ridgid Factory Blemished -- everything now is "Factory Reconditioned". Aka, used still the the sawdust on it from the last person. Whatever you get, put it under load ASAP because chances are all they did was a basic power test.
So many of their items are Shipped to Store only. Which doesn't help if the nearest one is several hundred miles away. They can ship it to their store, but not to one's private residence....like virtually any other company? Very odd.
They're no longer the value-focused discounted tool distributor they were known for. After their increased prices, plus normal shipping fees, and taking into account you're losing the LSA (for what good THAT does you)....it's usually pretty close to the cost of just buying it new from Home Despot.

I found a blemished planer for $240. I figure that's pretty good since it's cheaper than Harbor Freight. Hope it's a good one.
