In case folks are wondering, I looked it up and the limit is 27,000 mAh.
You are not allowed to bring it on a commercial flight.
You can't charge a laptop with it.
I mean in one picture it says "Charges 4 Devices Simultaneously" and there are four devices in the picture, and one of the four is a laptop........

Obviously 20W isn't enough but for the average consumer that is an intentionally misleading picture. I work in consumer protection so don't even try and argue it some other way.

They do a background check when you buy it, as it is considered a weapon, so be prepared to wait 2 weeks.

Bought one last time it was on sale. Stores way more power than advertised. Supposed to be 222 wh, mine took around 275. While damn heavy, it will last a very long time.

it won't charge 45w+ laptop...

True, but it will charge the battery of that laptop (there are a few cases where it won't charge but a large majority of existing 45+ watt laptops' batteries will charge with less than 45w)

I mean you can charge MacBooks and some other laptops with it. It'll just take unreasonably long.

In the most simple sense, charging faster is more likely explode your face off. Obviously as technology advances those risks are minimized but there is a reason that battery charging rates have steadily increased

Stop being silly that has nothing to do with the misuse of the term "thermal runaway"

Security guys at airport like to see more people take it with their carry-on and can stop it for a free gift instead of watching slickdeals, don't they?

ah feck - bought it a couple months ago on sale for $39.99. Haven't had to make use of it - yet.

it's a very pretty monolith, somewhat reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey

Maybe when the laptop is turned off. Maybe. One would need to test it. It's certainly not designed for it. To be honest, I'm not sure what it's designed for. It's unreasonably heavy to be a phone / tablet charger.

I honestly don't know what this thing is designed for.

If you just want to charge your phone, you want something small and portable (e.g. a 5,000-10,000 mAh). A couple weeks ago I saw a deal when you could buy two of those for $12.

If you want to use it to charge a laptop, a 65W, 27,000 mAh power bank is more practical: less than half the weight, allowed on airplanes and there are good ones that go on sale for $30 regularly. (I have the INIU 65W 27,000 mAh one that I got for $29.99, and it's great for charging laptops.) This one is just weird.

Way too much Romoss spamming by Slickdeals on FP. There are many others with better spec'ed batteries out there with similar price of course.

There are nearly 2000 amazon reviews on it. So I guess quite some people have their use cases.
