Thank you! Every AMD CPU has went on a good sale in the past month other than this one. Finally a good enough deal to pull the trigger on my beast gaming pc setup.
As for the affirm checkout, I'm just going to pay it off all at once to avoid the interest.

So affirm just automatically charges interest which wipes out half the discount. I was planning on just paying it all at once, would that make a difference?

Can you confirm if that's possible? I've got a nice CPU/mobo/RAM combo and I'm sitting at the checkout annoying the Newegg sales associate with questions they can't apparently answer.

Doesn't sound like it from the Affirm FAQ
https://kb.newegg.com/knowledge-b...affirm-faq
If I pay off my installments early on an interest plan, will I be charged less?
If you want to pay off your loan early, you will not pay any interest that hasn't accrued yet.

Early payments
If you want to pay early, you can absolutely do that. There are no penalties or fees, and you'll save on any interest that hasn't accrued yet.
Only thing I'm not sure of is any interest accrues immediately / up front, or if that's not how interest accrual works. I think some credit cards do it by day?

Just to be clear for anybody not up on current tech, this requires a new(er) AM5 mobo, which uses DDR5 RAM, meaning anybody with an older PC, or even a newer PC with an AM4 mobo, is going to need several new pieces of hardware, not just this shiny new awesome CPU.

As of right now the loan is "processing". It says it usually takes a few days to finalize. My balance shows the full amount of the loan plus the interest but when I click loan details it says
"If you pay off early, you will not have to pay a penalty, and you may be entitled to a refund of part of the finance charge."
So I'm assuming I gotta pay the full price with interest and then they refund it? I'm really not sure so that's all the details I can give at the moment.

No you don't have to pay the full amount plus interest when you pay off early. It will show you full amount you owe if you just pay the monthly but will show you a lower amount excluding interest if you pay off the whole amount in one payment.

Alright so everything went through and I have the option to pay off early sans interest. So everything's good.
